Time is the one thing that man has not mastered. For all of our ability to move around this little ball called Earth, we cannot change where we are in time. But can you imagine if we knew the future?

Distant Voices
Say for a moment that you have a manufacturing operation in Malaysia. Since we don’t make much stuff in the USofA these busy days of a sleepless planet, it’s not unreasonable. You call them up at some bleary-eyed time to find out how it’s going:
Value
What is anything worth? What is the real value of any thing or skill or company? A good answer is “What the market will bear”, but any examination of that phrase leaves an empty feeling in the stomach of someone trying to get what they can for whatever it is they have to sell. A better answer is, ultimately, “nothing”.

The old Target store on University Avenue in Saint Paul is being torn down, to make way for the parking lot of the new SuperTarget.
