I have been thinking about electric cars lately. No, not because I plan to buy one – that would take actual money. It’s partly because we may need a second vehicle in the family just because the local transit system is not very good. It’s also because I saw a few brands of electric cars at the Living Green Expo and was impressed.

In the Translation
Many novels are collaborations. The Great Gatsby, for example, proved to be almost too much for F. Scott Fitzgerald, so his editor Max Perkins had to take over much of the heavy lifting. While many nameless people at the publishing house don’t get credit for their contributions to a work, it’s very unusual for that one name running down the spine to be the only one responsible for that final, highly polished work.
Still Over – Very Over
I’m not usually one to brag. This whole blog thang isn’t about me, after all, but about the ideas and perspective I think need to come into our discussion about the changing world around us. There are different ways of looking at things that can make our lives much simpler and understandable, if we only give them a chance.
Hear the Quiet
I’ve said here that no one should feel bad about not understanding the recent credit meltdown, since the people who are supposed to understand it don’t either. That’s not exactly true, as I’d guessed any discerning reader would realize, but the voices of reason have long been drowned out by the shouts of those who made a lot of money off of money. Those guys are kind of glum and silent now, so we can hear the quieter voices of reason a lot more clearly.
