Things that defy description.
We’ve all survived to see another Tuesday, meaning it’s time to answer my mail. I haven’t gotten as much this week as I’d like, but there were two that I simply have to answer.
The first is the most pointed:
So the polls in Michigan were wrong, just like they were in South Carolina. Your hero Zogby didn’t get anything right either, so what do you think is up?
This year we celebrate 150 years of the Spencer House, the home I share with my partner in life, my kids and far too many animals in the West End of Saint Paul. It is one of the oldest houses in our city and listed on the National Register of Historic places.
It’s Tuesday, the day that I answer my mail. The first question was rather blunt:
Who do you support in the Presidential race?
Tuesday is mailday, a tradition that I allowed to fall underneath the wave of tradition that took up the last two weeks. Today, it is back. Thanks for all your letters, which I love to receive as wabbitoid47 at yahoo.com. First up is this one:
This week I’ve gotten quite a few letters, and I picked out one that I thought was fairly representative.
With the financial mess that we see, I think there are two problems with what you have been saying. First, hasn’t this all been hyped in the media already so we know all about it already? Second, the people in the banks and so on have a very big interest in sorting this out so why do you think that they can not or will not do it?
