Fit to Print … and more!

Newspaper readership continues to decline in the USofA, with online readership not even beginning to make up the staggering losses in print. The most recent study I could find was by the Pew Research Center in 2006, which shows that from 1993-2006 the percent of people in the USofA who read a newspaper, in print or online, declined from 58% to 40%.

Streaming

When in doubt, you can always talk about the weather in polite Minnesota conversation. Since we usually have a doubt of some kind, Minnesotans tend towards weather as a reliable stand-by. It’s not controversial but it provides a nearly endless supply of entertainment much like driving a flaming bus through a wall of televisions, at least in the sense that it’s likely to be lethal.

A Fun Evening Ahead?

I just received an e-mail from a friend stating that I didn’t make any predictions for Super Tuesday, or at least not direct ones that can be pointed to and laughed at later. Being a Celt, it goes without saying that there’s no point in being interested in a sport if you don’t know how to handicap it for betting purposes. So here is not only my prediction but my handy guide to watching the results roll in tonight.
