Barataria has been coming to you every single Monday, Wednesday, and Friday without a single miss for almost 12 years now. That’s 156 times a year, and about 120,000 words annually. I hope that at least a few of them were enlightening.

It’s been a tough month, I have to admit. Between a client bailing on me at the last minute and not paying plus some small health issues I’ve had trouble. I expect it will get better soon. But enough about me, you know I don’t like to talk about myself.
I’m here regularly because I love new ideas and perspectives, and I hope you do as well. We have a new world developing in front of us, and like a child it can be just about anything. Will we live in a world that is prosperous and loving, or desperate and mean? Will we learn from each other or try to slaughter those we don’t understand? Will technology be our master or our servant?
It’s still entirely our choice. And I hope that you choose to support my efforts to help us all have the conversation that we need to understand our choices.
If you have been a loyal reader for many years, first of all THANK YOU! None of this would happen without your support. If you’ve commented and added to the conversation, I can’t thank you enough. The purpose of all of this is to find new ways of looking at the new world which make sense of it. It’s not easy, and sometimes it stretches a bit.
People’s Economics is sadly on the back burner, as I do have to earn a living. It’s been far more difficult for me lately than I’d like, and that’s hurting everything. I don’t like asking you for money, but I thought I’d give it a try.

I’m sorry you are down on your luck, but … most people are these days. I average around 712,000+ words annually — 2-3 posts per day at 800-1200 words each, and I’m not even considering soliciting my readers for funds, though I’m fairly certain your finances are in better shape than mine. Sorry, Eric, this is where I stop following your monetized blog. You do some good work, but not that good. Good luck.
